Stayed at this hotel to be close to airport to catch an early flight to Frankfurt the next morning Pros: - Very helpful and friendly staff. Arranged for an early ride to the terminal - Clean and spacious, if a little quirky, rooms - Price is very reasonable - close to the airport, although it is no longer in walking distance now that the new terminal is completed Cons: - I like the room cool at night and could not get the A/C to work. If I had discovered this earlier the staff would have helped but I woke up warm @ 1am
London Rooms Zagreb Airport offers simple but comfortable rooms, an excellent airport transfer service and a cosy bar and cellar restaurant where the food is good and the service friendly and positive. There is a pleasant outdoor area, for warmer days. The genial host who picked us up was also happy to carry our bags up the stairs, a gesture much appreciated. As was the fact that he was waiting to drive us to the airport at 6.45 am. The only slight negative was that our room overlooked the railway, and even sound proofing doesn’t keep the train noise out. Next time we’ll ask for a garden view room.
International Business Hotel
I’ve stayed in a few doubletrees and found them to be very consistent. The room was clean, spacious, modern with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The restaurant served some really lovely food and the staff were very pleasant too. I was traveling for business so I don’t know much about it’s location for tourism but overall I had a nice stay. One question though - where was my warm cookie on arrival doubletree?! 😉
We stayed for a few nights. The location of the hotel is good right in front of the central station and 15 mins walk from the bus station. You can walk through the Park Zrinjevac to reach the central town (Trg bana Josipa Jelačića). It takes approx 10-15 mins or take a tram with just 2 stops. There are some good eating options within 10 mins walk. The breakfast is decent and included in the price. The rooms, though clean are old. The hotel comes across as one of the regular hotels. The staff though courteous and professional is not warm. They rarely give a smile. But are flexible. Overall an above average hotel at a decent price with basic amenities, but lacks those little extras.

Wir haben ein Deluxe Doppelzimmer gebucht, und gebeten, ein Zimmer in den Innenhof zu bekommen (Straßenlärm-Alarm). Wir wurden in eine Superior Suite upgegraded - Zimmer 301 - es war so schön still dass wir jede Nacht mit offenen Fenstern schlafen konnten. Checkin sehr freundlich und kompetent. Zimmer- und besonders Badeinrichtung Top. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr hübsch, das Frühstücksbuffet ausreichend, aber die Auswahl war jetzt nicht überwältigend, aber fein. Wir kommen definitiv wieder, nur diesmal würden wir das Zimmer direkt via Hotelwebsite buchen.
